Would you like to form a team to make a cardboard boat for one of your team members to paddle around our bespoke course?
A marine engineer and designer will guide you in making your boat – though it will be up to you to construct your own vessel, taking into account what you’ve learnt about centre of gravity, buoyancy, structural engineering, and drag.
We’ll provide the cardboard, plus the tarpaulin to make your vessel waterproof (thereby avoiding using paint or waterproofing chemicals).
All teams will need to be in place prior to the festival. If you’re interested in taking part, please email nick@windermeresciencefestival.org
